INDEPENDENCE SQUARE LODGE BY FRIAS, Aspen – Your ideal downtown stay

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, but the noise from the alley was a downside. The service was exceptional, but the location could be noisy at night due to nearby bars. The facilities were good overall, however, parking was highlighted as a problem.

My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The room was well thought out with a super comfortable king bed and an updated bathroom with nice finishes. Although the room was a bit small, it was very spacious overall. The service I received was impeccable, with the staff being very helpful throughout my stay. The location was perfect, just across the street from the free transit system, making it convenient to explore the Aspen Snowmass area. The dining experience was more than adequate, offering a variety of options. The facilities were great, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

However, the room temperature was a bit warm in the 80s and stifling at times, which was slightly uncomfortable. The service was exceptional with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The location was perfect with easy access to the free transit system for exploring Aspen Snowmass, but navigating directions could be a bit tricky with the old school system in place. The dining options were minimal, starting later in the morning, which may not be ideal for early risers. Despite these minor issues, the hotel provided great value for money overall.
